Let’s look back to January 27th, when we had the opportunity to participate in an in-house day at Kroll in Amsterdam.

It was a great experience where we:
• Worked in teams on a real acquisition case, building a valuation (inputting assumptions, calculating a discount rate, and conducting sensitivity analysis).
• Compared results with peer multiples and presented an accept/reject recommendation to a simulated board of directors, defending our assumptions.
• Gained practical insight into valuation decision-making and how to communicate results clearly - followed by networking with industry professionals.

In addition to the case, the event provided an opportunity to network with real professionals from the Investment Banking and Asset Management divisions, gaining not only great insights within the firm but also from the broader market.

Let's look back to January 20th, when we had the pleasure of participating in an in-house day at UBS in Amsterdam.

It was an enriching experience that offered AMSA members the opportunity to engage with a challenging real estate case study. Participants demonstrated creativity and strong analytical skills through valuation work, strategic decision-making, and structured problem-solving.

Beyond the case, the event provided a rare opportunity for students to interact directly with professionals from both the Asset Management and Investment Banking departments, gaining valuable insights into diverse career paths and perspectives within the firm.

We levelled up our financial modelling skills and got an insider look at the Valuations department.

Thanks to PwC, we got to see how concepts like DCF and Multiples are actually used in big-ticket deals. We also got to know the Valuations & Modelling team drives value across the Deals Department and had the chance to solve a real-world case.

We dived into how investment bankers can leverage LSEG Workspace for deal screening, peer analysis, and creating data-driven client materials more efficiently.
