Our Departments
Macro Research Reporters
This team conducts macro research to provide fellow students with monthly updates from financial markets through reports. The wide range of topics include significant political events as well as significant changes in monetary and fiscal policies, all tailored to make each student a more informed investor
External Relations Team
In order to be a successful association with well hosted events, we require corporate partners that sponsor us. We plan on creating a platform where we can assist in the building of networks for the EUR students with the Finance sector. In order to do that, we have a dedicated team in charge of contacting relevant firms and pursuing partnerships for AMSA as a whole and individually for its active and inactive members.
Portfolio Analysts
Analysts at AMSA are at the core of the research department, which focuses on the execution of the main activities performed in asset management firms, investment banks and hedge funds. In rotating turns, each member of this department focuses on diverse asset classes intending to conduct more specific research to be used for portfolio management decisions. The analyst teams receive detailed instructions on researching and analysing investment opportunities in their specific asset classes. While performing analyses, the analysts are part of a mixed group led by a portfolio manager. In this group, analysts from different sectors collaborate on writing the portfolio reports, which comprehensively include the relevant research for portfolio allocation, diversification, and maintanance. The research results are observed and tested through a virtual portfolio simulation. The unique purpose is to provide an opportunity to develop members’ practical portfolio management skills and improve their investment decision-making process, which can be used in personal and professional investment activities. The portfolio reports are eventually published on the association’s website.
Sustainable Investments Team
This team works on producing a booklet which maps out the sustainable aspect of investing and its impact. In short, sustainable investing is the area of investment banking which aims to combine financially secure returns on investment, while ensuring a positive impact on society and/or the environment. Examples include investing into communities, developing countries and much more. The end goal is to offer a freely accessible end product with insightful content for any student conscious about tackling environmental degradation and engaging in environmentally friendly financial practices.
Marketing Team
In the past year, AMSA has established a strong image amongst EUR students, and for the upcoming years we will continue to grow and evolve that image so that AMSA receives recognition not only by Erasmus University, but by other international universities as well.
This is the job of the marketing team, that works to publicize AMSA as an association, alongside with promoting events, courses, and other educational services AMSA has to offer.
